Phoenix veröffentlichen heute ihren letzten Vorabsong aus dem am 04. November erscheinenden neuen Album „Alpha Zulu“. Die Einflüsse zum Musikvideo zum Track „Winter Solstice“ liegen im Deutschen Expressionismus.

„Dear Listener,
We wrote „Winter Solstice“ remotely. We’ve always recorded the four of us in the same room before but the pandemic forced us to do this one apart from each other and I think you can hear that in the song. While the music was done in Paris during lockdown, vocals were recorded under the dark skies of northern California’s fires. At that time we were not sure we would be able to play live again and we were missing each other, communicating through music.
This song is about Isolation, Loyalty and fine Jewelry.
