Der talentierte Singer/ Songwriter war in den Vorjahren bereits unter dem Namen „Native“ aktiv und veröffentlichte mehrere EPs und Singles. Vor kurzem hat der Musiker nun einen Neubeginn angekündigt. Zu seiner neuen Single und ihrer langjährigen Entstehungsphase hat er folgende Worte:
„I had a rough idea and structure for ‚This One’s for Us‘ a few years ago and started working on lyrics, but I didn’t know what I wanted to say and never managed to finish it. As soon as I booked the studio to record my album, it became clear to me that I wanted ‚This One’s for Us‘ on it. I listened to all the previous versions again, but nothing felt right and I knew I couldn’t force it. During that time a good friend stayed with me for a few days and after a long conversation, all the words suddenly came to me. I stopped everything and immediately started writing.“ – Michael Benjamin
Der Song ist die zweite Vorab-Auskopplung aus seinem anstehenden Debütalbum „The World Is Still Beautiful“, das im Mai 2023 erwartet wird. Im März 2023 geht Michael Benjamin zudem gemeinsam mit KARO LYNN auf eine dreiwöchige Deutschlandtour. Hier sind alle Termine zu finden.
