Franz Ferdinand haben heute das Video zu „ Curious“ veröffentlicht, einer brandneuen Aufnahme auf „Hits To The Head“, ihrer 20 Titel umfassenden Greatest Hits Collection. Zuvor hatten sie bereits „Billy Goodbye“, den anderen neuen Track der Compilation, veröffentlicht. „Curious“ wurde ebenfalls von Alex Kapranos, Julian Corrie und Stuart Price (Dua Lipa, Madonna, Pet Shop Boys) produziert und wird von einem Video in Regie von Andy Knowles begleitet.
Alex Kapranos sagt über den Song: „What’s the meaning behind the song? A meet-cute on the first page as tension enters left on a dark stage, but as our stars collide I’m curious: will you want me when you’ve got me? I’m a future seeker. Are we the future? I’m curious. I had this idea for the lyric – kind of the reverse of one of those life flashing before your mind as you die in a film scenes, where the entire course of a relationship flashes before you the instant you fall in love with someone.“
Er fügte über das Video hinzu: „So, it’s a dance song we said later on when thinking about a video. And we’ve always said we play dance music said Bob, so why don’t we dance in the video? So we gave Andy Knowles, our old pal who was in Bob’s class at Art School and played with FF in 2005/6, a shout and he was up for it. You can spot his cameo and, yes, that is us actually dancing.“

Franz Ferdinand unterschrieben im Mai 2003 bei Domino und veröffentlichten kurz darauf ihre erste Single „Darts Of Pleasure“. Franz Ferdinand waren Headliner bei Festivals wie Reading & Leeds, Rock En Seine, Primavera und All Points East und werden in naher Zukunft Details zu großen Live-Shows bekannt geben.
„Hits To The Head“ wird als CD, Deluxe-CD, Gatefold-2LP, limitierte Indie-Shop Gatefold-2LP (rotfarben), limitierte, exklusive D2C-Gatefold-2LP (goldfarben) und Kassette erhältlich sein.
CD und LP enthalten ausführliche Liner Notes von JD Beauvallet (ehemaliger Herausgeber von Les Inrockuptibles) und exklusive, noch nie gezeigte Fotos. Das Album wird auch in digitaler Form erhältlich sein.
