Right after the show at Montreux Jazz Festival, we drove during the night to Clermont-Ferrand. We had to be there in the morning to record this ARTE Concert. I haven’t been able to sleep one single minute, I was so blasted by the intense previous days and by all the emotions circulating through my body. I remember that five minutes before going on stage, I couldn’t help laughing like crazy on the floor in the dressing room…
But the whole team was there, as tired as me, but supporting like never before: Vincent Sudan installed the microphones and explained how our music should sound like to the technicians, Léa Martinez convinced the light technician to install red flashing lights for a specific moment and guided him during the whole show (and the result just blows my mind away), Killian Frangeul installed the backline, found some coffee and gave us all the instructions we could barely understand, Fabian made some tea, turned the sofa into a bed so that we could try to take a nap, tried to recover from his long drive but was standing in the front row when we started playing, and cried all along the concert… And Fred Bürki, of course, with his brand new Asba drum kit, his energy, his calm, his kindness, his friendship, and his steadiness. I love you all. We played five songs, it was intense and beautiful. Just go and check it.
