„Place To Be“ von DAVID GRAY und „Parasite“ von STICK IN THE WHEEL ist die dritte doppelseitige 7″-Single, die von „The Endless Coloured Ways – The Songs Of Nick Drake“ veröffentlicht wird. Das Album ist eine Anthologie von dreiundzwanzig der beliebtesten Songs von NICK DRAKE, die von zweiunddreißig der talentiertesten Künstler des gesamten musikalischen Spektrums aufgenommen und neu interpretiert wurden. Das Album wird am 7. Juli 2023 über Chrysalis Records veröffentlicht.
„Place To Be” / „Parasite“ wird ab dem 3. Mai als dritte von fünf limitierten, doppelseitigen 7″-Singles erhältlich sein, auf denen eine Auswahl der versammelten Künstler vertreten ist. Jede Single hat ein visuelles Panel, das jedem Künstler zur Verfügung gestellt wird, damit er schreiben, malen oder beschreiben kann, was immer er möchte, als wäre es seine eigene Platte. Die Serie wird mit einer einmaligen, streng limitierten und bisher unveröffentlichten Bonus-Vinyl von NICK DRAKEs Heimaufnahme von BOB DYLANs „Tomorrow Is A Long Time“ abgeschlossen. Eine 7″-Single-Bundle-Option ist im Chrysalis D2C Store erhältlich.

„’Pink Moon‘ is such a perfect spell of a record, immaculate in its simplicity. Like the ghost of the blushing moon that haunts the album’s title track, the record seems to be woven from some strange and delicate magic that both mesmerises the ear and utterly disarms the heart. „Place To Be” is one of my favourites from that record and like many of NICK’s songs, a lot of the lyric has a slightly detached, enigmatic feel, but every time the line ‘now I’m weaker than the palest blue’ hits home, it really feels as if I can taste the sadness and fragility from which so much of the music on „Pink Moon” seems to have sprung. It is my favourite of NICK’s albums and in my opinion his masterpiece. He was a unique talent, master guitar player and a gentle and poetic soul who found this bruising ‘elbows out’ world pretty hard to take.” – DAVID GRAY

„The Endless Coloured Ways“ wurde von Cally Callomon, der Managerin des NICK DRAKE Estate, und Jeremy Lascelles, dem Mitbegründer von Blue Raincoat Music und CEO von Chrysalis Records, ins Leben gerufen und enthält unter anderem Aufnahmen von FONTAINES D.C., LET’S EAT GRANDMA, JOHN GRANT, SELF ESTEEM, EMELI SANDÉ, GUY GARVEY, DAVID GRAY und vielen anderen.
