FINNEAS veröffentlicht neue Single und Video „What They’ll Say About Us“
FINNEAS – der fünffache GRAMMY Award-Gewinner, Sänger und Produzent (Tove Lo, Selena Gomez, Camilo Cabelo u.v.m.) und Bruder von Billie Eilish – kehrt heute mit „What They’ll Say About Us“ zurück. Das Lied ist eine kraftvolle und bewegende Beobachtung, die im Lockdown geschrieben wurde; es ist eine Ode an die menschliche Stärke und Verbundenheit angesichts der Schwierigkeiten des Lebens. „What They’ll Say About Us“ schultert, von Hoffnung getragen, die Last des Ganzen.
Finneas erzählt zur Entstehung des Songs: „I wrote this song in June after spending the day at a protest in Downtown LA, filled with hope with the prospect that millions of people were coming together from all over the world to fight against institutionalized racism and inequality. During that time, I’d also been following Amanda Kloots as she documented her husband Nick Cordero’s time in the ICU while in a coma after being admitted for COVID-19. Imagining her sitting by his side, waiting, hopeful for him to wake up, it got me thinking about all the millions of people, all over the world, who also have loved ones, parents, children and extended family members going through the same thing. Fighting this horrific virus. Some will over-come and wake up again, while others, tragically may not. This song is dedicated to all who have had to endure this year. I hope this song can offer some sort of comfort to those who may need it.”
„What They’ll Say About Us“ folgt auf die Veröffentlichung der von der Kritik gefeierten Debüt-EP „Blood Harmony“. Die vom 23-jährigen vollständig in Eigenregie geschriebenen und produzierten Songs sind ein weiteres Beispiel für FINNEAS herausragende Fähigkeiten als Songwriter, Produzent und Geschichtenerzähler.
Im Januar erhielt FINNEAS beeindruckende 5 GRAMMY Awards®, darunter den renommierten Titel „Producer of the Year“, für das bahnbrechende Nr. 1-Debütalbum seiner Schwester Billie Eilish „WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?“ und die Hit-Single „bad guy“. Zusätzlich koproduzierte und schrieb er mit Billie den offiziellen Titelsong und -track für den kommenden James-Bond-Film „No Time To Die“.
